The Energy Union Framework Strategy includes energy efficiency as one of its five dimensions and states it is to be considered as an energy source in its own right. The ambitious Paris climate agreement also underlines the importance of energy efficiency. To realise its full potential, public funds will not suffice and private financing will have to be unlocked on a large scale.

This online-based event (11:00-12:30 CET), organised in partnership with the UN Environment Finance Initiative, will discuss financing home renovation and its challenges in Europe. The discussion will open with an introduction by Timothée Noel (European Commission - DG Energy) and hear in depth presentations from Francoise Refabert (Vesta Conseil & Finance), Marco van Dalfsen (KAW architecten) and Christophe Milin (European Commission - EASME).

This event is organised by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) as part of the Sustainable Energy Investment Forums contract, funded by the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Union.
