How to perform bulk download operations

For users who require to download large volumes of data, we recommend the bulk download facility.

The bulk download facility holds complete versions of the data browser datasets.

There are also code lists and metadata files.

Due to their large size, comext datasets are provided separately.

Downloading full datasets

To download one or more full datasets, users can search for the relevant dataset/s by entering the dataset code in the search field:

The page updates dynamically to display the relevant search results:

It is then possible to download the complete dataset in three different file formats by clicking the associated links to the right of the page:

The datasets are provided in GZIP compressed TSV, SDMX-CSV, and SDMX 2.1 file formats.

Downloading multiple datasets in a single operation

To download more than one dataset in a single operation, users can select the datasets they wish to download by clicking the check box to the left of the required datasets. Next, at the top of the page, it is necessary to click the down arrow to the right of ‘Bulk actions’. Users can then select the required file format and click the ‘Apply’ button:

Lastly, click the ‘Apply’ button in the top right. The datasets will then be downloaded in a single compressed file.

Code lists are also downloadable from the bulk download facility and are listed by the the same code present in the data browser datasets:

Metadata

Metadata files are listed datasets code. Country specific metadata files are available in addition to the general metadata:

International trade data are available from a separate section of the bulk download facility.
