Mahmood Pradhan

Mahmood Pradhan is the Head of Global Macroeconomics at the Amundi Institute. Previously, Pradhan worked at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), where he was Deputy Director, European Department, heading the IMF’s work on the Euro Area, the Euro Area periphery, and financial sector issues in Europe since 2011.

Prior to this role, Pradhan was Deputy Director, Asia, and Pacific Department overseeing activities in Japan and South East Asia, and Assistant Director, Monetary and Capital Markets Department.

Pradhan also spent 9 years in the asset management industry as an Emerging Market Strategist with Tudor Investment Corporation, Bluecrest Capital Management, and Emerging Market portfolio manager at Wadhwani Asset Management.

Earlier in his career, Pradhan worked at the Bank of England on monetary policy and financial sector issues.

Pradhan holds a Master of Philosophy degree from the London School of Economics.
