Manuel Oechslin (PhD in Economics, University of Zurich) has been a full professor of economics at the University of Lucerne, Switzerland, since 2015. Before moving to Lucerne, Oechslin was an associate professor at Tilburg University in The Netherlands. His research and teaching activities focus on political economics, macroeconomics, and international economics. Current research projects investigate the role of information in politics or the impact of fundamental uncertainty on macroeconomic fluctuations and crises. Oechslin publishes in leading international journals, among them the Economic Journal, the Journal of International Economics, and the Journal of Economic Growth.
