Patrick Legros is a professor of economics at the Université libre de Bruxelles. His fields of specialization are industrial economics, the theory of contracts and organizations, and the economics of incomplete information.
His current research analyzes the integration decisions or choice of companies' contracts in perfectly competitive and oligopolistic environments. Most of his publications are in the best journals in economics (American Economic Review, Econometrica, Quarterly Journal of Economics, The Review of Economic Studies, Journal of the European Economic Association, and the Rand Journal of Economics).
Parallel to his academic activity, he served as an editor and managing editor for the Journal of Industrial Economics, as a member of the European Advisory Group on Competition Policy of the European Commission, and as an expert for the European Investment Bank and for the European Commission.
