Maija Halonen-Akatwijuka, PhD (LSE), is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Bristol.
Her research is in the field of contract theory and organizational economics. Her interests include shared ownership, public good provision and incomplete contracts. Her research has been published in American Economic Journal: Microeconomics, Economic Journal, Journal of Law, Economics and Organization and Journal of Public Economics. She is Associate Editor of Cambridge Elements of Law, Economics and Politics and she chairs the Working Group in Water Governance at the Ostrom Workshop.
