Matthias Dolls

Matthias Dolls is a Senior Economist at the ifo Institute. As Deputy Director of the ifo Center for Macroeconomics and Surveys, Dolls heads the Inequality and Redistribution research unit. Dolls is a CESifo Research Network Affiliate, Research Associate at ZEW and an IZA Research Fellow.

Dolls’s research interests are in Public and Labor Economics as well as Applied Economic Policy with particular reference to taxation, social insurance, European integration, and the economic implications of working from home. Dolls is a co-founder of the Global Survey of Working Arrangements (G-SWA), which collects detailed information on workers’ experiences and attitudes regarding remote work arrangements.
