Finland, Greece and Croatia to be the first Member States to test the Lifecycle Management interface of the Once-Only Common Services

3 September 2024 | 2 minutes read

Despite the summer period, more and more Member States are implementing the Lifecycle Management (LCM) interface for Evidence Broker (EB) & Data Service Directory (DSD) updates.

The Once-Only Technical System lets EU public authorities (so-called ‘Competent Authorities’) securely exchange official documents and data at the request of citizens and businesses as part of cross-border administrative procedures, e.g., when registering an address or vehicle when moving abroad. The Once-Only Technical System’s technical components are developed by both the Member States and the European Commission. The Common Services(opens in a new tab) are the component of the Once-Only Technical System provided by the European Commission that help EU Member States ensure the proper exchange of data and information (so-called ‘evidence’) through the system. Selected users from Member States and Competent Authorities can input data (such as procedures, requirements, or evidence) into the Common Services to connect these elements to the Once-Only Technical System.

The Lifecycle Management (LCM) Interface of the Common Services is provided so that Member States can make bulk updates to their information stored in the Common Services. The LCM Interface will be made available to Member States for testing in the Training environment in the next release, scheduled for September.

We appreciate the interest expressed by Croatia, Greece and Finland in accessing the LCM and are looking forward to hearing from other Member States soon!
