How to operate eDelivery?

At this stage, the operation of the eDelivery infrastructure is ongoing. Participants implement the eDelivery solutions on their side, and integrate with your domain’s infrastructure.

The operation of the infrastructure depends on the business model that was defined in the Design phase:

  • BRIS (Business Registers Interconnection System) is based on a star network, whereas it leverages on a central component of which the business owner is responsible.
  • PEPPOL is based on a mesh model. In this case the business owner provider the information and documentation on how new participants can join the network.

In any case, participants need to ensure that the network is running smoothly on their side. Server and services availability are their responsibility, not of the business owner.

You can approach the eDelivery Service Desk and join the eDelivery User Community on the eDelivery site to discuss with other domain owners, participants, market experts or software providers.

You can also refer to the cost estimation tool to have a comprehensive view on the expected costs to operate an eDelivery infrastructure.
