You can vote for the Once-Only Technical System (OOTS) to be awarded the European Ombudsman Award for Good Public Administration 2023.

The Once-Only Technical System aims to make those necessary, but often time-consuming cross-border administrative burdens easier, faster and cheaper by enabling the exchange of supporting data (evidence) between public administrations in a secure and privacy-respecting way.

The user is in full control of this data exchange, as the user must first preview what evidence type is to be transmitted through the Once-Only Technical System, and confirm that they explicitly wish to use the Once-Only infrastructure.

This EU-wide system will create the necessary interoperability across authentic data sources (public authorities) in each Member State. This will simplify the online administrative experience when we want to move, work or study abroad and also help SMEs expand faster within the Single Market.

This project is an example of innovation at the European level, with EU Member States working together to allow all EU citizens and businesses take full advantage of the European Single Market.

Vote for project 37 “Reducing red tape in cross-border administrative procedures”: Voting open until 14 June 2023
