On 24 November 2022, the European Commission organised the first Once-Only Technical System Implementers Café “Once-Only Technical System Guidance and Projectathon Introduction”.

This event provided participants with useful information on the Once-Only Technical System architecture, its key components and the Common Services provided by the Commission. The guidance presentation offered an introduction to the way the Once-Only Technical System should work and served as a basis from which teams of the implementers of this system can work or draw inspiration.

This event also introduced the 2023 Once-Only Technical System Projectathon series. The OOTS Projectathons are closed events for teams sent by Member States to pair-up with as many other participants as possible and run tests using different actors, roles, and testable profiles to check the status of their respective Once-Only Technical System implementations.

Implementers Cafés are interactive webinars that bring together members of the national teams from the 27 EU Member States (implementers) working to build the Once-Only Technical System. This session was open to other interested stakeholders from public services interested in the Once-Only Technical System.

You can download the slides from the event page.

You might also be interested in signing up for the second Implementers Café “eDelivery & OOTS Projectathon Process” on 13 December 2022. This event will provide participants with useful information about the reuse of eDelivery in the context of the Once-Only Technical System, by providing concrete examples from the Member States. It will also explain in detail what the OOTS Projectathons are and why they are useful for any team working on or interested in building part of the Once-Only Technical System.

By the end of 2023, the Once-Only Technical System will streamline cross-border online procedures by allowing citizens and businesses to supply the same data to public authorities only once.

You can find more detailed information on the Once-Only Technical System on the Once-Only Hub.
