The European Commission has adopted four implementing regulations laying down rules for the registration and certification of European Digital Identity Wallets, and relying parties under the European Digital Identity Framework.
This follows the first round of implementing regulations, adopted on 4 December 2024.
Thanks to common rules created by the implementing regulations, Member States will be able to develop secure and privacy-enhancing wallets that are interoperable and accepted across the European Union by registered relying parties.
