The European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) is helping Social Security Institutions to facilitate the interaction between mobile citizens and national authorities by improving the portability of social security rights across borders. EBSI’s Verifiable Credentials framework will facilitate the verification process by competent actors and institutions. This is known as the European Social Security Pass (ESSPASS) pilot. Thanks to the collaboration between ESSPASS and EBSI, documents such as forms stating the social security legislation applicable to a posted worker will become very easy to verify and almost impossible to fake.
