The 2010 Social Inclusion Regional Group, a coalition of local and regional actors organises on 23 February a conference to present the thematic priorities of each of the 2010 working groups. A series of local case studies will demonstrate the innovative role that can be played by local and regional actors to combat poverty and social exclusion.
Stephen Hughes, MEP for North East England, Teresa Jiménez Becerril-Barrio, MEP for Valencia, and Kathleen van Brempt, MEP for Flanders will introduce the main topics:
- Equality and Non-Discrimination
- Child poverty
- Financial Exclusion and over-indebtedness
- Inclusive labour markets
