Meeting in Prague: Strong support for Eastern Partnership
Commissioner Štefan Füle will participate at the ministerial meeting of the Visegrad Four (V4) Group and countries of the Eastern Partnership in Prague on Monday 5 March. The Danish EU Presidency, three Baltic states and High Representative/Vice-President of the European Commission Catherine Ashton will also attend. "The Visegrad Four countries together with the Baltic states have been strong supporters in advancing the Eastern Partnership objectives," Commissioner Füle said before leaving for Prague where he will confirm the commitment of the European Commission to bring the partners from the Eastern Neighborhood closer to the EU. He will also stress the stronger role the civil society plays in the neighborhood policy of the EU.
