The EC-funded MoveS network (Free Movement and Social Security Coordination) organised a seminar in Nicosia (Cyprus) on 27 October 2021.

The seminar was organised by MoveS in collaboration with its Cypriot national expert, Iliana Christodolou-Varotsi. MoveS is an EC-funded network of independent experts from 32 European countries coordinated by Eftheia and Deloitte.

The seminar focused on recent developments concerning SSC and FMW at EU level, and made an assessment of impacts on Cypriot law and practice in selected areas, notably posting, family benefits, Brexit, and health care.  

Attendees were provided with an overview of the most relevant developments (amendments, amendments under discussion, case-law, etc.). They had the chance to interact as a network on how such developments impact on their work, and how implementation may be improved.
