The Open Public Consultation on the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD) has been launched. A questionnaire and related documents for the consultation are available in all EU languages except Irish.

The questions of the survey are tailored to the role of potential respondents in the FEAD. This consultation is carried out in the framework of the mid term evaluation of the FEAD.

The survey is available online until 5 May 2017.

FEAD support helps people take their first steps out of poverty and social exclusion. The FEAD helps the most deprived people by addressing their most basic needs. The overall objectives of the fund are to promote social cohesion, enhance social inclusion and therefore ultimately contribute to the objectives of eradicating poverty in the European Union by contributing to achieving the poverty reduction target of lifting at least 20 million people out of the risk of poverty and social exclusion in accordance with the Europe 2020 strategy. The specific objective of the fund is to alleviate the worst forms of poverty, by providing:

• non-financial assistance to the most deprived persons in the form of food and/or basic material assistance, and
• social inclusion activities aiming at the social integration of the most deprived persons.
