European Pillar of Social Rights Action Plan presented to EU social partners in Liaison Forum on 9 March European Commission Director-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion Mr Joost Korte presented today the European Pillar of Social Rights Action Plan to EU social partners. Following consultation with social partners in 2021, the Commission will present an initiative to support social dialogue at EU and national level in 2022. The initiative will include four actions: the launch of a new award for innovative social dialogue practices an information and visiting programme for young future social partner leaders the review of sectoral social dialogue at EU level a new supporting frame for social partner agreements at EU level The initiative will be prepared and implemented in close cooperation with social partners. The Liaison Forum brings together EU sectoral social partners for exchanging good practice across the sectors and for following developments in EU policy making. EU sectoral social dialogue provides a unique framework for social partners’ organisations, including for concluding EU framework agreements, discussing issues of common interest at European level and for exchanging strategies and good practice. It also represents a valuable platform for consulting sectoral social partners, with their unique expertise in sectors, on EU initiatives.
