Deza Nguembock is a social entrepreneur based in Paris, France, and has dedicated her life to advocating change in mentalities through social innovation, for a more inclusive world. Born in Cameroon, Deza suffered severe health issues at age 4, leading to physical handicap in her teenage years. In 2011, she founded E&H LAB, a communications agency that develops general interest programmes and campaigns through art for local governments. Deza is well-known for her large-scale, international awareness campaigns that change the narrative and perceptions regarding people like herself. Her efforts also include creating the ‘Aesthetics & Disability’ concept based on positive images of physically challenged people, the ‘CHAOS’ campaign on mental illness through an immersive and digital art installation, and the ‘Let’s Trample Prejudices’ initiative to put a stop to preconceived ideas and break down barriers. In just 10 years, she has designed six awareness campaigns with enormous social impact, and worked for 60 clients in the private and public sectors. Deza is also renowned as an inclusion expert in the communication field and in disability foundations where she volunteers. She loves sharing her life experiences, notably through conferences, to inspire new generations of leaders.
