Second online training: Critical success factors for apprenticeships in the EU

The European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA) is running a new series of online training courses for everyone interested in learning about apprenticeship systems in the European Union.

In this module, you will be able to learn about:

  • Critical success factors for quality and effective apprenticeships
  • Where to find and how to navigate useful online sources on apprenticeships

Through a range of videos, infographics, and examples from different countries, you will also be able to learn more about the 14 criteria for quality and effective apprenticeships as they are listed in the EU’s Council Recommendation on a European framework for quality and effective apprenticeships (EFQEA). You will also get some tips on useful online sources through which you can easily compare different apprenticeship systems in Europe.

Upon finishing the module, you will obtain a certificate of completion, highlighting your knowledge of apprenticeship practices and how to develop quality apprenticeship systems.

This course takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.

About the content creator:

Jörg Markowitsch is an Expert in Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Senior Partner at 3s Research & Consulting in Vienna which he founded in 2001. He is an experienced Team Leader in international research and development projects in the area of education and labour markets, and a policy advisor on national and EU-Level matters for senior officials and policy makers. He has been an active member in several EU Expert and Working Groups and in international research associations and scientific boards. Jörg has recently coordinated various large comparative research projects on apprenticeships, adult learning and the Future of VET in Europe.
