Description of the Organisation:
The 1st Patras Laboratory Center is an organisation supporting the laboratory training for 6 vocational training centers. It supports the following sectors of the Greek VET system: mechanical and electrical engineering, electronics, automatisation and electrical installations, health, social welfare and wellbeing, building construction and design support, IT, economy, applied arts and agriculture. Our laboratories are sufficiently equipped and cover the training needs of more than 1000 students every year. Their weekly plan includes a 4-day work placement and 1 day at school. The organisation supports the newly introduced apprenticeship scheme in Greek VET system for most of its sectors. Its students are granted a mobility opportunity to an EU country for a period of 3 months for practical training in companies, institutes and other organisations to improve their technical as well as their social competences and skills.
