Description of the Organisation:
UPEE was established in 1989 as the first private organisation of micro, small and medium sized businesses in Bulgaria. In 2016 the National Chamber of Crafts became a member of UPEE along with its 18 regional and 20 branch chambers. UPEE's main activities include protecting the interests of its members by submission of draft laws and amendments to legislative acts, drafting proposals to improve the business climate and VET in the country, developing plans to support SMEs and crafts, conducting studies on issues such as the business environment and employers' needs for professional qualification of the employees, upskilling and reskilling of the personnel, and supporting the preparation of system analyses. UPEE is a SMEUnited and Pact for Skills member and works in partnership with ADAPT International and other European and international organizations to support SMEs and VET.
