The European Alliance for Apprenticeships is a multi-stakeholder initiative steered by the European Commission. The originator of the pledge is solely responsible for implementing the actions outlined in the pledge.
Description of the Organisation:The Greek Carers Network, EPIONI, is a national non-profit organisation established in 2016 which supports individuals who work as informal, unpaid carers of family members or friends affected by physical or mental illness, disability or addiction. EPIONI is a member of several European and national networks, including Eurocarers, Mental Health Europe, EASPD and EUFAMI. It has started providing internship places 2 years ago through an Erasmus+ project and aims to start creating apprenticeships in the next years. The organisation collaborates with a consortium of universities from Spain, Italy and France and offers interns the opportunity to be involved in various activities tailored to their skills and interests. EPIONI has had five interns in 2018 completing a 2-4 months work placement in the organisation.
