The European Alliance for Apprenticeships is a multi-stakeholder initiative steered by the European Commission. The originator of the pledge is solely responsible for implementing the actions outlined in the pledge.
Description of the Organisation:Serdar Plastik is a leading manufacturer of plastic components, producing technical components for 13 different sectors. The company trains its students through the 'Vocational Education Training Project in Cooperation with Industrialists' (SIMEP). This program is a mixture of theoretical and practical training, allowing Serdar Plastik to tailor the jobs to the young people while also creating a qualified and competent workforce. Since 2005, 152 students received training and 98 of them were subsequently employed, while 47 students are still in training. The company adopts internationally recognized best practices, and each year for a certain period of time, 4-6 apprentices from the company go to work abroad either through EU projects or direct contact with EU companies.
