Description of the Organisation:
The Economic Chamber of Macedonia was established in 1922 and contributes significantly to the development of the Macedonian economy. Over 15,000 small, medium and large companies are members of the Chamber, constituting approximately 95% of the gross domestic product of the Republic of North Macedonia. The Chamber aims to support the economic development of the Republic of North Macedonia, and to develop a strategy for a better match between the skills of vocational students and the labour market needs. In order to do so, the Chamber facilitates the cooperation between companies and schools, provides training to in-company mentors, and assesses the working environment, the equipment and the staff of companies wishing to host apprentices. Finally, the Economic Chamber of Macedonia cooperates with the Ministry of Education and Science (MoES) and other institutions to develop occupation and qualification standards, curricula and programmes.
