The European Alliance for Apprenticeships is a multi-stakeholder initiative steered by the European Commission. The originator of the pledge is solely responsible for implementing the actions outlined in the pledge.
Description of the Organisation:The College ten Doorn is a Catholic secondary school in the North West of Belgium offering vocational, technical and general education programmes. Overall, approximately 1,200 pupils aged 14-19 attend various courses offered by the school. The courses focus on agriculture and horticulture, office, haircare, healthcare, food processing, childcare, elderly care, administration, social sciences, technical sciences, etc. Pupils of the third year degree follow work placements in companies located near the school. These are mainly small companies and institutions, for example agricultural and horticultural companies, catering service providers, care institutions, hospitals, etc. The school also features a number of business units where students can develop their skills and competences.
