Description of the Organisation:
Part of the vertically integrated ESB electrical power utility, ESB Networks (ESBN) is a transmission system owner and the distribution system owner and operator in Ireland. ESB Networks has over 3,500 staff and has a strong tradition of technical training and have a dedicated Networks Training Centre where staff, apprentices and contractors working on behalf of ESBN are trained. ESB Networks support a number of craft and non-craft apprenticeships and the technical and professional formation of apprentices is integral to the achievement of ESB Networks strategic goals and targets. There is a strong and continuing commitment to promote, develop and enhance apprenticeships in general, and our own in particular. This includes an aspiration to develop exchange partnerships with peer utilities in the EU, for both trainers and apprentices.
