EAfA membership and pledges

The European Alliance for Apprenticeships is a multi-stakeholder initiative steered by the European Commission. The originator of the pledge is solely responsible for implementing the actions outlined in the pledge.

Description of the Organisation:
The CCCA-BTP is a French professional organization in charge of coordinating apprenticeship in the construction industry. The CCCA-BTP leads a network of 118 training centers offering alternance training in companies and in training centers (called CFA-BTP). The CCCA-BTP is in charge of implementing the professional policy specified by main employers and employees representative federations of the construction industry at a national level. The French government is also represented within the Board Committee. The CCCA-BTP offer vocational training shared with construction companies and train around 45.000 young apprentices per year in all the construction sector crafts. The missions of the CCCA-BTP are specified by the professional agreements concluded by the professional players of the construction industry and strengthened by the law. All these missions are lead with regional authorities which have the responsibility of organizing and funding the apprenticeship. The main missions of the CCCA-BTP are to: 1) Promote the construction industry professions and improve its image; 2) Inform young people, families and companies of the sector on apprenticeship, and on professional opportunities; 3) Improve the quality of vocational training in companies and within training centers through the welcoming and career advising of young people; 4) Improve social and professional integration of young people; 5) Finance the development and the running of vocational training centers. These missions are financed by a social subscription decided by the professional players and paid by all companies of the sector.
