OAJ is a member of ETUCE, fully supporting the objectives of the EAfA and ETUCE actions and policies to improve apprenticeship and work-based learning of VET students. In line with the objectives of the EAfA, the trade union will continue working on, in particular by social dialogue with national policy makers and employers, to ensure Apprenticeship is now included in the law on VET as a means of acquisition of competence. VET education has to stay under the authority of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the financing of apprenticeships should be supportive also in the future. The quality of apprenticeship and work based learning must be continuously followed to ensure skilled professionals are graduated.
