Description of the Organisation:
The devolved government for Scotland has a range of responsibilities, which include the economy, education, health, justice, rural affairs, housing, environment, equal opportunities, consumer advocacy and advice, transport, taxation. The Scottish Government wants to improve life chances for young people, support economic growth and increase the number of jobs. Through our refreshed Youth Employment Strategy: Developing the Young Workforce published in December 2014, the Scottish Government set out a 7 year programme which aims to reduce youth employment by 40% by 2021 which we have already achieved.
