Although all physical events taking place in the near future have been suspended due to the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), the activities of the EAfA do not halt.

The Alliance is close to its members and will keep providing support in the coming months.

We are increasing the number of online activities.
In order to compensate for the postponement of physical events, we are launching a series of new online resources:

  • April 24: a brand-new online training resource on ‘Understanding apprenticeships in the EU’ will be available on the EAfA website.
    Find out more.
  • April 29: Webinar on ‘Pedagogical support for teachers and trainers’.
    View the recording.
  • Beginning of May: the first live discussion on ‘Adapting apprenticeships to a COVID-19 context’.
  • May 26: a second online training module will be released on ‘Success factors for apprenticeships’.
  • May 28: Webinar on ‘Career guidance and awareness-raising on apprenticeship as the first choice’.
    Register for the webinar.
  • Early June: The second live expert discussion on ‘Adapting apprenticeships to a COVID-19 context’

And there will be more to come!

We are exploring good practices and innovative solutions.
The Commission joined an initiative led by International Labour Organisation to launch a survey among public and private enterprises and other organizations regarding their COVID-19 responses in terms of staff training as well as apprenticeships and work-based learning.

The responses to the survey will contribute to the stocktaking of good practices and innovative solutions undertaken by various enterprises and organizations to overcome the challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Participate and share your experience. The results of the survey will be announced in a live online event in mid-June.

You can take part in the survey in your preferred language by selecting one of the following links:
