Have your say in the European Commission’s public consultation on learning mobility

The European Commission has launched a public consultation to collect views on a new initiative on teaching and learning abroad in Europe. Interested stakeholders are invited to submit their contributions by 3 May.

An EU building

The public consultation on the future of learning mobility is open to people from all education and training sectors, including learners and staff involved in apprenticeships, and organisations sending and receiving mobile apprentices. Inputs from decision-makers, associated stakeholder organisations and researchers are also highly welcome.

The public consultation has been launched in view of the European Commission’s policy proposal later this year. The proposal wants to update the current EU learning mobility framework in order to improve the quality of education and training at all levels.

The proposal aims to enable more learners and teachers to overcome obstacles and benefit from a mobility opportunity. It focuses specifically on issues in the area of inclusion and the twin green and digital transitions, while encouraging balanced mobility.

The proposal concerns, among other things, mobility opportunities for apprenticeships, thus contributing to enhancing quality and effective apprenticeships across Europe. The EU and its Member States are committed to promoting cross-border learning mobility in European education.

We encourage learners and staff involved in apprenticeships to fill out the public consultation questionnaire, which is available on the Have Your Say portal in all EU languages. You can share feedback on sending/receiving apprentices in mobility activities, key aspects to be considered, and more.

Have your say and take part in the public consultation by 3 May, midnight (CET)!
