Delegates not only had the chance to discuss the future of Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD) in the post 2020 period but to also get a first-hand look at the day-to-day activities of the organisations delivering food aid and tackling social inclusion.

The FEAD Network voices caught up with representatives of these charities and managed to get an in depth look into the challenges and issues of delivering their projects across one of Europe’s busiest cities.

Guillaume Prot and Heline Colin talk about their work with Restaurants du Cœur, an organisation founded in 1985 that distributes food aid packages to the homeless and low-income families with the help of volunteers. Along with food aid, Guilliame and Heline explain how Restaurants du Cœur is also delivering social inclusion activities with the help of FEAD support.

Marine Castagne of French Federation of Food Banks (FEBA) is another member of the FEAD Network distributing 5300 tons of food across Paris. Marine goes in depth to the challenges FEBA faces in dispensing diverse products and strategizing with partner associations.
