EU wins WTO compliance action against US in ripe olives dispute

A panel report by the World Trade Organization (WTO) presented a clear and full win for the EU. It confirms that the US failed to implement the recommendations of the original panel, namely the finding that the US law, based on which anti-subsidy duties on Spanish ripe olives were imposed, is incompatible with WTO rules.

 
EU to decide on steel safeguard extension

The Commission has initiated an investigation to assess whether the safeguard measure currently in place for imports of certain steel products should be prolonged beyond 30 June 2024.The initiation follows a substantiated request received from fourteen EU Member States.
