The "Waste to Plate" initiative aims to tackle the critical issues of food waste and enhance healthier food options by turning food waste and side streams into nutritious and circular food products.

The programme plans to transform these resources into a million healthy servings per year by 2027, supporting startups through community practice and innovative funding mechanisms.

The partnership will leverages a holistic approach integrating various stakeholders across the food value chain, focusing on innovation, environmental sustainability, and economic growth through circular food solutions. It supports broader EU strategies like the European Green Deal and Circular Economy Action Plan, aiming to make a scalable impact beyond the initial EIT Food funding.
