The fifth meeting of the EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste under its new mandate (2022-2026) will take place on 12 November. This is a closed expert group meeting for the members of the Platform. However, those who are not part of the Platform can follow the event via live webstreaming.
The meeting will begin with an overview from Liz Goodwin from the World Resources Institute, who will give an update on global developments in food loss and waste prevention. This will be followed by presentations from OECD, FAO, the Hungarian Presidency, JRC, and Eurostat.
In the second half of the meeting, co-chairs of Platform sub-groups will give an update of their respective areas of work and planned deliverables, which will then be followed by perspectives of Member States, and will close with testimonials from cities.
The meeting will have a hybrid format with a limited number of participants on-site in Brussels and others connecting remotely through Interactio.
Other participants who wish to follow the online meeting can do so by watching the live webstreaming of the event.
