IFWC publishes its food waste report compiled from data gathered from IFWC members’ sites across Europe’s hospitality and food service sectors in 2022, the Report shows positive progress.  A total of 1,081 member sites reporting reliable data have collectively recorded an impressive 23% reduction in food waste since 2019. They are already halfway to achieving our ambitious goal to halve food waste by 2025. Whilst these sites represent only a small percentage of our members’ total operations (5%), they have clearly demonstrated how food waste can be cut significantly through consistent monitoring. This new 2023 Reports show the excellent progress reporting sites are making – we now urgently need more IFWC member sites and more businesses to step up.
