Article 256 of the French Climate and Resilience Act, promulgated on 22 August 2021, provides for the introduction of an experiment in meal reservation solutions in collective catering. The reservation of meals meets the need in collective catering to anticipate the number of guests to be served, and should thus help to fight against food waste. This experiment should therefore measure the effects on food waste but also on user attendance and satisfaction.

Participation in this experiment involves answering questions about the facility and the reservation solution implemented, as well as providing data on food waste assessments, attendance rates and user satisfaction over a six-month period.

Name of organisation : La Direction générale de l'Alimentation (DGAL), which is a directorate under the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
