The research was undertaken across four key markets - UK, US, Canada and Australia. The study indicates that nearly half of respondents throw away as much food or more than they did this time last year (2021), revealing an opportunity for people to save further by reducing waste in their homes. For 1 in 3 people, the amount of food they waste is equivalent to putting one shopping bag of food in the bin each week.
