2023 a blooming year for the REGIO Peer2Peer Communities

In 2023, we gathered 3,000 practitioners in 10 different communities and organised 26 thematic events, some of which involving more than 200 participants, both in-person and online. What's more important: we are now able to set-up a new community on any topic linked to the EU regional and urban policy in just 1 month. Community members exchange good practices, promote joint reflections and develop new tools to help the implementation of cohesion policy programmes. New REGIO Peer2Peer Community on Embedding Cooperation

Last missing segment of A1 motorway in Poland to receive EU financing

The A1 motorway is a north-south motorway that runs through central Poland. The 44-kilometre co-financed stretch, which starts at the Częstochowa bypass and runs north to the town of Tuszyn, is an important segment in the A1 axis, which forms the backbone of the country’s transport system. It is the last missing segment of the A1 motorway. The segment receiving EU co-financing today is set to be completed by November 2022. Together with the wider A1 motorway project it improves mobility and life quality in Poland.

The EEA and Norway Grants represent Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway’s commitment to stimulate more sustainable and inclusive growth in Europe, promote bilateral cooperation and tackle shared challenges. The funding period 2014-2021 represents the most ambitious effort to date resulting in a total budget of €2.8 billion dedicated to strengthening bilateral relations and reducing social and economic inequalities in Europe.
