I do not have to tell you about the hybrid threat and in particular its potential impact on Critical Infrastructure. The nature of hybrid threat is that it might affect security in many fields also in public spaces.

This war will have also long-term effects on the security in Europe. Many weapons are transported into the battlefield and the consequences of the not-used weapons after the end of the war will be challenging since they are coupled with many persons trained on it. They might be used for organised crime or terrorism as it is the case with the weapons from Western Balkans in the aftermath of the collapse of Yugoslavia.

A lot is done in Europe in the last months to enhance its security also in Public Spaces. We will raise attention on the new ISF projects in this newsletter and several new guidelines that might support you. We will publish a book on Security by Design as promised in the counterterrorism agenda beginning of December. Connected with such book we will launch a platform to share with you several tools to support the implementation of the concept.

Many thanks for your interest!
