Working session report: Presentation of the NEB Lab

It was a session packed with information. We presented the NEB Lab (what, how, who) and the first generation of the Community-led and Commission-led NEB Lab projects.
A novelty introduced together with the launch of the NEB Lab will be opening our community to for-profit organisations and public authorities through the Friends of the NEB.
All information about the NEB Lab, explanations on how to apply with a project to enter the Lab, descriptions of the running projects and forms to apply for a Friend of NEB status will be published on 7 April on our website and the community platform.

- New European Bauhaus goes South connects six south European counties which join forces to reflect on and improve education through architecture. (contact: Tereza Calix)
- Nordic carbon neutral Bauhaus is an open forum to discuss how architecture, design and art can help achieve a carbon neutral built environment in an inclusive manner. (contact: Matti Kuittinen and Helena Bjarnegard)
- New European Bauhaus of the mountains seeks to improve the quality of the built environment, and citizens' quality of life, in rural and mountain areas. (contact: Vesna Caminades)
- Commission-led project presentations:
- Labelling strategy project will invite experts, academics and professionals in sustainability, inclusiveness and aesthetics to contribute to building a compass and self-assessment tools that will help ensure projects are well-aligned with the New European Bauhaus values. - Regulatory analysis and experimentation project will explore how the regulatory framework, from the local to the European level, can support the development of New European Bauhaus projects. (contact: Nadja Najjar)
- Innovative financing project focuses on an exploration of innovative funding solutions for NEB projects (contact: Borislava Woodford and Maria-Elena Camarascu)
- Transforming places of learning is currently looking for projects focused on the transformation of places of learning that connect a tangible place with innovative pedagogical methods and the local community. (contact: Vera Winthagen)
