In her 2023 State of the Union address, European Commission President von der Leyen will outline the main priorities and flagship initiatives for the year to come, building on the European Union's political successes and achievements of the past years, among which the EU Strategy on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish live was mentioned as one. This will be the last address in this legislative mandate, ahead of the 2024 European elections.

In December 2019, the von der Leyen Commission set a new and ambitious course towards a greener, more digital and fairer European Union. It has kept the course, delivered on all six political priorities, whilst managing unprecedented crises.

The State of the Union will be livestreamed on 13 September 2023 at 9 AM CET from Strasbourg here. You can discover why it matters here. The State of Union documents in all EU languages can be downloaded here
