Vice-President Schinas in conversation with a Holocaust Survivor

To commemorate the Holocaust, Vice-President Margaritis Schinas will exchange thoughts with Holocaust survivor Irish-Slovak Tomi Reichental on the lessons of the Holocaust for 21st century Europe, new forms of remembrance, concepts of atonement and reconciliation, and our common duty to speak up and counter Holocaust denial and distortion.

 
Event to mark the entry into application of the GDPR

The European Commission (EC) is organising on 25th May 2018 three events to mark the entry into application of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): one in Brussels, one in New Delhi and one in Santiago.

 
11th European Forum on the rights of the child: Children deprived of their liberty and alternatives to detention

The European Forum on the rights of the child is an annual conference organised by the European Commission. It gathers key actors from EU Member States (as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and the Western Balkans), international organisations, NGOs, Ombudspersons for children, practitioners, academics and EU institutions to promote good practice on the rights of the child.
