The 19 participants who attended the course originated from the FREE Network, a research organization network uniting research centres in Central and Eastern Europe. FREE Network institutes include CenEA (Poland, Szczecin – organizers of the workshop), KSE (Ukraine, Kyiv), ISET (Georgia, Tbilisi), SITE (Sweden, Stockholm), BEROC (Belarus, based in Vilnius), and SSE Riga (Latvia).

Training participants showed keen interest in developing tailored tax-benefit microsimulation models for their countries, and successfully acquired the necessary skills and confidence in using EUROMOD.
