For this edition, our team is branching outside of reading recommendations with the addition of an inspiring film!
Picture a Scientist, a documentary directed by Sharon Shattuck and Ian Cheney
This documentary portrays women scientists sharing their own experiences in the sciences, including experiences of harassment and years of subtle slights. The inspiring women portrayed - including social scientists, neuroscientists, and psychologists - provide new perspectives on how to make science more diverse and equaitable.
The theme is close to the heart of many members of the ECAT team, and also relevant to our mission and work, which includes the divinAI Project that seeks to shed light on diversity (or lack thereof) in AI fields.
