The Social Policy Lab of the Polytechnic University of Milan is interested to hire a young researcher to work with Prof. Manos Matsaganis on developing a spatial microsimulation model for Italy in the context of the Horizon Europe project MOBI-TWIN. The spatial microsimulation model will be based on the European tax-benefit model EUROMOD.

This is a two-year post, starting on 1 October 2023 (or later, by mutual agreement). The monthly net salary will be €1,400 to €1,700, in line with Italian university pay scale (assegno di ricerca).

Key requirements for this post:

  • Post-graduate degree in the social sciences
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Willingness to learn and work with others
  • Ability to communicate clearly in good English (and, preferably, Italian)
