New EUROMOD release in September!

A new beta version of the EUROMOD model (I3.86+), together with new data and software, will be released on 6th September. It will include 2021 policy systems for 26 EU Member States and updated datasets based on 2019 SILC for all the Member States, as well as bug fixes and model improvements.

date:  16/08/2021

Consistent with the new practice, the new model and software will be freely available for download in the "Access EUROMOD" area of the EUROMOD website (https://euromod-web.jrc.ec.europa.eu/access-euromod).

Regarding the input data, JRC and ESTAT have been working on the simplification of the data access procedure. Having a valid Research Project Proposal (RPP) with EUROSTAT for the use of EU-SILC data remains a necessary condition to access the EUROMOD input datasets. What is going to change is that, starting from the upcoming release, only the data manager/principal researcher named in the RPP will be granted access to the S-CIRCABC platform, where data are stored. It will be their responsibility to download and share the data with other researchers named in the RPP, after having collected and shared with the JRC the individual EUROMOD data access forms duly signed. More information on how to access the data will be available in our website. The new data access procedure grants the data manager/principal researcher automatic access to EUROMOD data releases for the entire duration of the RPP, avoiding the need of a new data access procedure for each release.

Please note that both the new model and software, together with the new data access procedure, will be available on 6th September 2021. Save the date!
