EUROMOD I3.0+

In December 2020, JRC and the University of Essex released an updated EUROMOD model I3.0+.

This version includes the following updates:

• Policies – new 2020 policy systems, including COVID-19 related policies; possibility to account for labour market transitions (experimental) and revisions to older systems.
• Data – new 2018 input data and revisions to older data.
• Add-ons – new Labour Market Adjustments (LMA) Add-on for 2020 systems and Net Replacement Rate (NRR) Add-on (2015-20).
• Applications – an Advanced Policy Effect Tool (Advanced PET), allowing users greater flexibility in PET analyses (available on request) and Hypothetical Household Tool (HHoT) updated to 2020.
• Software – new version 3.4.0, compatible with EUROMOD I3.0+.

The EUROMOD releases will soon be uploaded in our website, streamlining the access process.

In-depth Analysis plugin

In the context of the technical assistance provided by the JRC to the Council of Economic Advisors of the Greek Ministry of Finance, funded by DG REFORM, a new EUROMOD plugin called In-depth Analysis has been developed. This plugin complements the already existing Statistics Presenter tool, providing a more comprehensive set of statistical indicators to analyse tax-benefit reforms and make the analysis more flexible in terms of selecting variables and targeting population groups.

The In-depth Analysis plugin will be available to all EUROMOD users very soon.
