Ø  The Bonn Climate Change Conference, also referred to as the June UN Climate Meetings, was held in Germany from 3 to 13 June. It comprised a technical expert dialogue on the New Collective Quantified Goal on climate finance, including on how to make sure it is ambitious, transparently reported on, and improves the quality of climate finance to developing countries.

Ø  The High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) was held from 8 to 17 July in New York, on the theme "Reinforcing the 2030 Agenda and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises: the effective delivery of sustainable, resilient and innovative solutions”. It reviewed in-depth SDG goals 1, 2, 13, 16, 17.

Ø  The G20 Ministerial Meeting on Development was held on 22-23 July in Rio de Janeiro. Ministers adopted a Call to Action on Strengthening Drinking-water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Services, including a commitment to promote and invest in WASH services.

Ø  During the 67th meeting of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) held in Washington on 17-20 June, the 36th meeting of the Least Developed Countries Fund/Special Climate Change Fund (LDCF/SCCF) Council adopted a record support for climate change adaptation, totalling USD 203 million across 20 countries.

Ø  The first International Conference on Afforestation and Reforestation was held in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, from 2 to 5 July. In its declaration, heads of state and government recommended inter alia the adoption of a resolution by the 79th United Nations General Assembly to formally endorse the African and World Decade of Afforestation and Reforestation.
